Dr S Johnson Salaried GP

Gender: Female

About me:

I graduated from Cardiff Medical School in 1993 and initially trained in paediatrics. In 1999 I moved into General Practice and over the next 10 years I worked in both GP and paediatric roles in Cardiff, London and Surrey, alongside roles in Medical Education. I then spent 12 years as the medical director of an organisation running GP practices, walk in centres and urgent care centres for the NHS and I continued to practice as a GP in London.

Since 2020 I have worked as a part time GP in Woking alongside my work with the CQC and advising new healthcare companies develop safe, effective and innovative care. I enjoy supporting more junior clinicians develop to their potential and helping to shape new clinical pathways and services.

After nearly 30 years in the NHS I still love my work as a GP, my special interest areas are paediatrics (child health) and mental health.

I live locally with my husband, my three grown up children have mostly flown the nest giving me time to enjoy running, spin and trips to the coast.
